SpLD is a type of Neurodevelopmental Disorder that not allows the ability to learn or use specific academic skills in one or more areas of reading, writing, math, listening comprehension, and expressive language, which are the bases for other academic learning.
The use of 3D printing and AR technology will transform how people with SpLD will learn by offering a multisensory experience to them. For the development of Multisensory methods and methodology, the new technologies (3D printing and AR) can be useful tools for developing new inclusive tools.
Up to now different materials were produced. Two of them that are really interesting are the two documents in which partners created a new methodology for creating new exercises with 3D printing Technology and Augmented reality for people with Specific Learning disorders.
The goal of these documents is to give to staff that is dealing with people with Special Learning disorders (SpLD) some guidelines to define exercises in which 3D models and Augmented information have a key role.
To fill the template, it is not necessary to have technical skills in modeling, in 3D printing technology or in Augmented reality, because each section of it will be enough to give to 3D printing and AR experts the necessary information to shape the exercise.
The two documents are structure more or less in the same way:
• Information about AR and 3D printing technologies.
• Benefits of using AR technology and 3D printing with people with SpLD.
• How to define AR and 3D printing exercises thanks to the template (General information, SpLD specifications and Technical specifications.)
The two documents are available in different languages.
