On 29th of April, 2022, the final multiple event for the presentation of the project “BNW-Brave New Words: innovative educational tools for training and teaching people with Special Learning Disorders” took place at the RALIZ Day Center. The event was attended by 25 participants: specialists from the RALIZ Day Center, teachers, occupational therapy students, parents. The project was presented by Ms. Jasmina Ionkova, who represents First National Dyslexia Center, a partner in the project.
The specialists got acquainted with the created manuals and materials for the use of 3D technology and Augmented Reality when working with children and youth with specific learning difficulties. The participants practically discovered the possibilities of Augmented Reality. They tested the 3D Bear and AClass apps. The project website and the available manuals were presented, which provide training in the use of Augmented Reality and 3D printers and the printing process.
The short movie, made by the Dyslexia Center, showed the therapeutic work with all prototypes and games created by the project consortium. This multiple event became a new beginning for the team of RALIZ Day Center, in the use of innovative technologies in their daily work with children and young people with special needs.
